Oval Invincibles vs London Spirit The Hundred 2025: The sport of cricket has witnessed lots of pitch invaders, but the first match of the Hundred 2025 saw an uninvited guest entertain the fans, players, and the commentators alike by entering the field. In the first match between London Spirit and Oval Invincibles, a fox entered the Lord's cricket ground and was seen running.

The incident happened when the Invincibles were trying to chase down the target and when the Spirit fast bowler Daniel Worall was about to bowl. The fox entered the ground and left the commentators stunned. Eoin Morgan and Stuart Broad wondered how the animal entered the ground and didn't cause any problems.

Luckily, the fox was able to get off the field and also received a loud cheer from the fans at Lord's.

How did the Hundred 2025 Opener unfold?

The first match of the Hundred between reigning champions Oval Invincibles saw them win the match comprehensively against the London Spirit. London Spirit skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first.

But the decision didn't work in their favour as openers Keaton Jennings and David Warner got out easily, and then Williamson too was dismissed. Rashid Khan and Sam Curran rattled Spirit's batting lineup by taking three wickets apiece and thus skittled them out for 80 runs off 94 balls.

While chasing, the Invincibles had a flying start, but then the Spirit bowlers were able to take wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Sam Billings and Donovan Fereira took the team across the line with 31 balls remaining.

The Invincibles will lock horns with Manchester Originals on Saturday for their next match at the Oval, whereas London Spirit will face Welsh Fire in Cardiff on the same day.
