PAK vs BAN 2nd Test Match Result: Riding on the back of pace duo Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana's brilliance and Litton Das's 138 Bangladesh scripted history to win their first-ever Test series against Pakistan here at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana combined to pick up nine wickets putting Bangladesh on the cusp of history on Day 4 while Zakir Hasan slammed 40, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim played crucial knocks to help visitors register a dominating historic win in the second Test by 6 wickets.

Bangladesh hammered Pakistan in the first match by 10 wickets and scripted history. 

Solid contributions from Zakir Hasan (40), Najmul Hossain Shanto (38), and Mominul Haque (34) laid the foundation for the historic win for Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the experienced pair of Mushfiqur Rahim (22*) and Shakib Al Hasan (15*) steered the team to victory, completing a stunning upset against Pakistan on their home soil.

This victory is Bangaldesh's second overseas series win, with their first triumph coming against West Indies (2-0) in 2009.

The visitors resumed their innings at 42/0 and needed just 143 runs more to win on the fifth and last day of the second Test.

On Day 5, despite losing the openers in a tough Lunch session, Bangladesh got off to a stable start as they progressed towards their target of 185. At the time of Lunch Bangladesh's score read 122/2, with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque building a solid 52-run partnership after the 58-run opening stand.

In the chase, the clever strike rotation from Mominul Haque helped Najmul Shanto play more freely and slam big shots. Although both Haque and Shanto fell after lunch, the experienced pair of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim held their nerve throughout the innings at the crease and guided Bangladesh towards a thrilling 6-wicket victory. 

After the wicket of Zakir Hasan, captain Najmul kept the chasing ship steady for Bangladesh as he took his team's total past the 100-run mark.

Haque fell prey to a stunning delivery in the 44th over of the innings after scoring 34 runs. His wickets invited Bangladesh's two legends -Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan- together.

Shakib in the 56th over put the final nail in the coffin for Pakistan with a stunning boundary, guiding his team to victory.

With the win, Bangladesh's dressing run erupted in joy, hugging and shaking hands with each other while Mushfiqur Rahim bowed down to the ground to celebrate the historic occasion. Meanwhile, talking about Pakistan they were outplayed by Bangladesh in all three departments.

Talking about the second match, Bangladesh batters Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz set the platform for their country on Days 2 and 3. After being put to bat first Pakistan managed to post 274 in their first innings. In the reply, Bangladesh were reduced to 26/6 but Litton's timely 138 and his 165-run seventh-wicket partnership with Mehidy (78) provided Bangladesh hope to finish close to Pakistan.

On Day 4, Bangladesh bowlers rattled Pakistan's batting order with their fierce pace, bundling out the hosts for 172. Hasan Mahmud with his maiden five-wicket haul and Nahid Rana's career-best 4 for 44 proven to be chief destructor.
