"Over the course of the three days, the pitch hasn't really progressed that much. There was 4.2 degrees turn on day 1, 4.2 degrees on day 2 as well and 4.5 degrees on day 3 - the spinner who has got the most turn has bowled slowest through the air and that has been Maharaj. He has bowled with flight and extracted 4.9 degrees of turn off the surface. There are a few patches and footmarks in the fuller length area. But as you go down the pitch, it still looks beautiful. You don't think it is so bad that you can roll a side out. Pakistan is a bit on the back foot but a couple of good partnerships and Pakistan can turn the game. The first hour of the day is important, that's where the tone of the game is set", reckons Bazid Khan.
