PAK vs SA Lahore Test: Following his impressive return to Test cricket after almost two years with a score of 93 against South Africa, Pakistan opener Imam ul Haq faced burning questions from the local media regarding concerns over his discipline and attitude.

Imam emphasised that his focus has been on improving his cricketing skills, rather than addressing discipline issues.

“I have worked a lot on my batting and shots development but honestly i have not worked on improving discipline like you asked because I have never had such a problem nor has anyone spoken to me about any attitude issues with me," Imam told reporters on Sunday.

In his first Test match in nearly two years, Imam made a strong comeback with a score of 93, helping Pakistan reach 313/5 on Day 1.

The opener admitted that fluctuating team selection is an intrinsic aspect of a professional cricketer's career.

“I have nothing to say on that yes what I have learnt is that when you get a opportunity try to make the most of it because we are lucky to be playing for Pakistan from a population of millions," he said.

Imam ul Haq expressed that while he wasn't disappointed about falling short of a century and he also acknowledged Pakistan's batting unit's persistent struggle to capitalise on a solid start.

“I have been working a lot on my shot development because you can’t afford to get slow or bogged down in the middle of an innings and this has happened with us and cost us matches," the opener said.
