PBKS vs MI IPL 2025 Qualifier 2: Mumbai Indians star batter Rohit Sharma is on the verge of achieving a huge feat in his illustrious career of the shortest format. He can become the first Indian batter to have smashed 550 sixes in T20s. He will try to achieve this milestone during Qualifier 2, where he will face Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Till now, just six batters have smashed 550 sixes in this format. They are Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Alex Hales, and Colin Munro. And of these, Chris Gayle is the only batter to have smashed 1000 sixes in T20s.

Rohit Sharma is in excellent form
During the Eliminator against Gujarat Titans, Rohit Sharma achieved yet another milestone. He had become the first Indian batter to have smashed 300 sixes in this tournament and he achieved this milestone while playing in his 271st match. He did so by scoring a match-winning knock of 81 runs in Mullanpur on Friday.
Rohit achieved this feat by playing a brilliant shot in Rashid Khan's over. After smashing a six, he jumped to the second position in the IPL six hitters list and is just behind Chris Gayle, who is sitting at the top position after smashing 357 sixes. As far as the active players are concerned, Rohit is currently leading this list, which has players like Virat Kohli (291), MS Dhoni (264) and AB De Villiers (251).
Rohit also achieved the feat of scoring 7000 runs in this tournament and was just the second player besides Virat Kohli to have achieved this milestone. He is also the second-highest run-getter of the Mjumbai-based franchise in the ongoing season as he had scored 410 runs after playing in 14 matches at a staggering average of 31.53 and a brilliant strike rate of 150.18.
