RCB vs SRH IPL 2026: Phil Salt delivered a spectacular fielding display, assisting his team in dismissing Ishan Kishan and ending his impressive innings in the tournament opener of IPL 2026. Kishan notched up a magnificent 80 off 38 balls and was nearing a century when he mistimed a shot, sending the ball toward the boundary.

The ball seemed destined for the boundary, but Salt intervened. Sprinting toward the point, he dived to his right and seized a remarkable one-handed catch, instantly ranked among the season's best.

At mid-wicket, Salt took another catch, falling as he caught a high ball near the boundary. A DRS review confirmed the wicket, though Heinrich Klaasen was dissatisfied with the decision.

Kishan's innings proved pivotal in setting a formidable SRH target. Leading aggressively from the front, he struck 80 off 38 balls with eight fours and five sixes, forging a 97-run fourth-wicket stand with Klaasen despite a batting collapse. His relentless approach kept SRH competitive, even as Jacob Duffy disrupted their lineup.

Salt's exceptional catch reignited Bengaluru at a crucial moment. Following Kishan's departure, SRH faltered during the death overs, finishing at 201/9—a total that appeared less imposing given their earlier momentum.
