Indian opener Pratika Rawal, who stamped her authority during India's World Cup 2025-winning campaign, shared her stunning pictures on her official 'X' and Instagram accounts. Notably, Rawal is undergoing rehabilitation due to an injury sustained during the World Cup, which forced her out of the tournament. The 24-year-old was one of India's standout performers in the tournament was unlucky to get her right foot injured while fielding in the deep during the 21st over of Bangladesh's innings.

The pictures of Rawal relaxed resonated with positive development in her recovery, as she was spotted in a wheelchair during India's victory celebrations after the World Cup final against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on November 2.

“I can’t express enough. There are no words. It’s not going to come out of my mouth. This flag on my shoulder means a lot to me. And you know, being here with my team, it’s just surreal," she told the broadcasters during an interaction.

“Injuries are part and parcel of the game. I’m very happy that I was a part of this team, this winning team. I just love this team. I can’t express my feelings towards this team. I’m very happy that we actually made it. We’re the first team who has won the World Cup in so long and the whole of India deserves this."

Acknowledging her story, Prime Minister Modi lauded the unity and collective strength of the team.

"Team spirit matters a lot, not only on the field. If we know the strengths and weaknesses of each other, it helps us a lot," said PM Modi.

Rawal, who averaged over 50 in her ODI career, was India's second-highest run-getter in the tournament with 308 runs in six innings, including a century and a fifty. Her performances and resilience made her one of the standout names of India's historic World Cup triumph.
