RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 weather and pitch report: Punjab Kings' campaign has been quite topsy-turvy during the ongoing season. There have been days, where they have failed to defend a mammoth target of 245 runs and on some days they have scripted history as they had defended 111 runs. The Punjab-based franchise under Ricky Ponting's guidance looks like a breath of fresh air as they are eyeing their first title win this time. They will lock horns with RCB during their upcoming clash on Friday, where RCB hasn't won a single match at their home.

The Rajat Patidar-led side hasn't won a home match yet, even though they have a brilliant record in away matches till now. They have won in venues like Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Jaipur till now. They have dominated in those victories but haven't been quite successful in their backyard.

They have played just two matches at the M Chinnaswamy stadium against teams like Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals and have ended up losing both. During their match against GT, Jos Buttler scored a match-winning knock of 73 runs off 39 balls, and against DC they couldn't stop KL Rahul's onslaught even though they dominated the match most of the time.

The Bengaluru-based franchise will aim to bounce back and continue their winning streak from their previous match, where they defeated Rajasthan Royals in their backyard. RCB batters Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal took the team across the line and also admitted that it was high time that they won matches at their home ground.

“Getting four wins now away from home, it feels great. Hopefully, we can continue this at home as well. It is about time we start doing something there as well,” Padikkal told reporters during the post-match press conference.

“We are playing some good cricket. I think in time we will win there as well,” he said.

The Rajat Patidar-led side will be riding high on confidence and that will help them turn the tide this season.

“It is a matter of time. I don’t think that we have done badly there. We train there more than anyone else, we play there more than anyone else—it’s a matter of time that we get it right and give fans something to cheer about,” Phil Salt told broadcasters during the post-match presentation.

RCB vs PBKS: Pitch and Weather Conditions
