RCB Win IPL 2025 Title: Virat Kohli came up with the much-awaited Instagram post on Wednesday, a few hours after RCB lifted their maiden IPL title. RCB ended their long wait of 18 years for the trophy, defeating the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday.

Kohli posted a series of pictures on his Instagram and acknowledged the massive achievement. He thanked all the fans for their unmatched support over the years and mentioned how he enjoyed the last 2.5 months with the team.

"This team made the dream possible, a season I'll never forget. We've thoroughly enjoyed the ride over the last 2.5 months. This one is for the fans of RCB who never ever left our side in the worst of times. This one is for all the years of heartbreak and disappointment. This is for every inch of effort left on the field playing for this team. As far as the IPL trophy is concerned-you've made me wait for 18 years to be able to lift you and celebrate my friend, but it's been absolutely worth the wait," Virat wrote as the caption.

Virat has been a legend of IPL cricket and has been with RCB since the tournament began way back in 2008. He gave it all for the franchise but fell short in the last three finals before his dream came true with RCB in the fourth attempt this year. He even captained the side from 2013 to 2021.

Kohli is the all-time top run-getter in IPL history, having scored 8661 runs in 267 career matches at an average of 39.54. He ended the IPL 2025 as the third leading run-scorer with 657 runs to his name in 15 innings at an average of 54.75 and smashed eight fifties this year.

He was also the top run-scorer for RCB in the final as his 43-run contribution helped his side reach a challenging total of 190/9 in their 20 overs. On the back of a magnificent effort with the ball in the middle overs, RCB restricted the Punjab Kings to 184/7 before emotional scenes and incredible celebrations took over the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.

"Well, it’s right up there, if I have to be honest. As I said, I’ve given everything that I have for the last 18 years. I’ve stayed loyal to this team, no matter what. I’ve had moments where I thought otherwise, but I stuck to this team. I stood behind them, they stood behind me. And I always dreamt of winning it with them," Kohli said after RCB's title win.
