GG-W vs RCB-W, WPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru women scripted history with a memorable six-wicket victor over Gujarat Giants women in match 1 of the WPL 2025 on Friday, February 14.
The Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara witnessed RCB pull off the highest successful run chase in the WPL history. Richa Ghosh smashed the winning six as RCB chased down the 202-run target in just 18.3 overs. She smashed her fifty in just 23 balls.
She remained unbeaten on 64 runs in just 27 balls on the back of seven fours and four sixes. The 21-year-old also ended as RCB's top run-getter in the tournament opener.
RCB are the defending WPL champions, having lifted the trophy last season with a victory over Delhi Capitals women in the final. They have begun their title defence in the best possible way. They surpassed Mumbai Indians' record of the highest run chase.
