India's star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant finally returned to the cricket field on Tuesday (August 15) after a long seven-month break as he came out to bat for the first time since he escaped a horrific car accident last year.
Pant didn't take much time as he entertained the fans by smashing big hits during a practice match on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations organised by the JSW Foundation.

Pant came out to bat for the first time amid loud cheers as the video of him entering the field went viral on social media.
Pant underwent ligament surgery earlier this year after suffering multiple injuries in a car crash. "He is currently following a fitness program designed for him which includes strength, flexibility, and running," the BCCI had stated in their update about Pant.

A day after he broke the internet with his return, another video in which he can be seen hitting a big six is also going viral.
The video clip is from the same match where Pant reminded his brilliance with the bat in his playing days, showing brilliant wrist work as he flicked a ball for a maximum.
Pant is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and has been there for a couple of months as he is under his rehabilitation. He is unlikely to be picked for the upcoming ODI World Cup at home.
However, his improved recovery with every passing day has ignited hopes of him making a comeback on the field sooner than expected.
Notably, Pant is an important player for India in all three formats and has even captained the side in the shortest format during the T20I series against South Africa last year.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to gain full fitness to feature in the five-match Test series against England next year at least.
Ben Stokes-led side will travel to India next year to be part of a red-ball series that kicks off on January 25 in Hyderabad.
