Rohit Sharma is all set to make his return to domestic cricket after almost a decade as he will be seen in action for Mumbai in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season.
The defending champions Mumbai will resume the second leg of the premier domestic competition at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in BKC against a formidable Jammu & Kashmir side starting on Thursday.

Considering the much-awaited moment for many fans, Additional security and increased seating arrangements for as many as 500 people will be put in place as Rohit gears up for his Ranji Trophy return.
However, sitting arrangements can be made for only up to 500 people where Mumbai side has been regularly playing its league games in the Ranji Trophy.
"Additional security has been arranged and we have also increased the sitting capacity of fans up to 500," an MCA official was quoted by PTI as saying.
Apart from Rohit, several other big Indian names will also be in action for their respective sides in the tournament's upcoming round. Rohit's decision to return to domestic cricket has come amid massive criticism over his poor batting form as well as speculations over his future in Test cricket.
Following India's Test series defeat in Australia where Rohit had a horrible outing with the bat, BCCI took a hard step and asked the players to play domestic cricket whenever they are not on national duty.
Big names like Ravindra Jadeja (Saurashtra), Rishabh Pant (Delhi), Yashasvi Jaiswal (Mumbai), Shubman Gill (Punjab) headed back to where it all started and will be seen in their respective Ranji Trophy matches soon. Star batter Virat Kohli also has confirmed his comeback to the competition after 12 years and will likely be playing for Delhi in their match against Railways.
Talking about Mumbai, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side is placed third behind table-leaders Baroda and second-placed J&K in Elite Group A and will need to find their best in order to progress in the competition.
