Cameron Green delivered a slower ball around the stumps. Klaasen, with 11 runs off eight balls, including one four and one six, attempted another powerful shot but mis-hit.

The ball flew toward deep mid-wicket. Powell sprinted right, adjusted late, leaped, and snatched the catch one-handed. He hit the ground hard but maintained control of the ball.

The on-field umpire referred the catch to the third umpire, given Powell’s fall and movement after. Replays confirmed his fingers under the ball and control post-fall. The third umpire awarded the wicket to the Ajinkya Rahane-led side, giving them a crucial boost in the middle overs.

This decision was pivotal as SRH batters had built a strong platform after batting first. Travis Head delivered a gritty 61 off 27 balls, while Abhishek Sharma excelled in the power play. Despite Klaasen’s dismissal, the hosts were poised to post a mammoth target with nine overs left.

Klaasen’s wicket was significant. As SRH’s main middle and death overs batter, his presence after the 11th over could have fueled continued aggressive batting post Head’s wicket. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side needed this wicket to slow the run rate, and Powell's catch was crucial. This is Klaasen’s first sub-30 score this season.
