"We are beyond thrilled to welcome ICC Hall of Famer and T20 World Cup winning coach Andy Flower as the Head Coach of RCB Menโs team," RCB wrote on Twitter.
"Andyโs experience of coaching IPL & T20 teams around the world, and leading his teams to titles at the PSL, ILT20, The Hundred, and Abu Dhabi T10 will help in developing a championship-winning mindset and take RCBโs #PlayBold philosophy forward," they added.
The announcement came minutes after the franchise decided to part ways with former head coach Sanjay Bangar and Director of Cricket for the franchise Mike Hesson ahead of the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The duo has been part of the RCB franchise in their respective positions for five years. The franchise officially announce their departure on social media on Friday as they thank the duo for their long and loyal service to the team.

"We thank Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar for their commendable work during their stints as Director of Cricket Operations and Head Coach of RCB," the franchise wrote on Twitter.
"Their professionalism and work ethics have always been held in high regard. A number of youngsters were given a platform to learn and succeed in the last four years."
"As their term ends, we wish Mike and Sanjay all the very best in life," RCB added.
Hesson's association with RCB began in 2019, during which the team secured playoff berths for three consecutive years. The rumours of their exit had already started after the IPL 2023 where the team failed to reach the playoffs.
As per a report from Cricbuzz, it was revealed that Flower was engaged in discussions with several franchises, including the Rajasthan Royals. However, it has since become evident that the Bengaluru-based team has secured his services for the upcoming years.
The batting legend and former RCB player AB de Villiers also seems to be in the contendership for the mentor, although no official confirmation has been made yet.
Flower's association with the Lucknow Super Giants concluded earlier this year following the culmination of his two-year contract after IPL 2023. The Sanjiv Goenka-owned team has already enlisted Justin Langer.
โI am really proud to be joining RCB. Iโm truly honoured to represent a franchise of their size, reputation and standing. RCB have an unrivalled fan following and I canโt wait to fully experience the atmosphere in the Chinnaswamy next season.
I recognise the work put in by Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar, who are two coaches I respect, and I look forward to the challenge of taking RCB to new heights. Iโm particularly excited to be reunited with Faf. We have worked very well together in the past and I look forward to forging our partnership and relationship into something bigger and better.
We have an exciting roster of players to work with, and I recognise and will relish both the amazing opportunity with RCB but also the responsibility that comes with the role. It is a great challenge, and I canโt wait to get started.โ, said Andy Flower, the newly appointed Head Coach of RCB.
