RCB vs CSK IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru's star all-rounder Romario Shepherd stunned everyone at the M Chinnaswamy stadium during their IPL 2025 clash against CSK by scoring 33 runs in Khaleel Ahmed's over, which also became the most expensive over of the ongoing season. After smashing four huge sixes and two fours during the 19th over, he now has the record for bowling the fourth most costliest over in the tournament's history.

He came into bat during the 18th over when the hosts were tottering at 157/5 and had suffered a batting collapse after scoring just 13 runs. He did score single runs on his first three balls but then turned the tide in their favor from the first ball of Khaleel's over, who bowled a slower delivery and the ball went toward mid-wicket.
Shepherd then smashed the next ball towards his front leg and the ball went towards the ground. He then took his luck into his own hands as Khaleel once again bowled a slower delivery outside off as Shepherd smashed the short-third for a boundary and then Ahmed bowled the fourth delivery as the full toss, which Shepherd smacked for a six as well.

One of the best balls was the fifth one. Khaleel again bowled a short slower delivery outside off as he was trying to keep the ball away from Shpherd's reach. But the batter didn't try to reach it fully and was able to smash the ball towards a deep point.
The fans present at the venue were entertained, especially when the on-field umpire signaled a no-ball. Khaleel then bowled a wide yorker in the free hit and it turned out to be a dot ball. But things didn't end for Ahmed as Shepherd's top edge went towards the deep square leg fence.
Shepherd brought up his fifty at the last ball of the first innings as he had scored 53 runs off 14 balls. This was the quickest fifty for the Bengaluru-based franchise and the joint second-fastest in this tournament.
It should be noted here that he had also scored 32 runs during an over, by hitting the same amount of sixes and fours and he did the same during the last season when he played for MI and went all-guns-blazing against Delhi Capitals' Anrich Nortje.
