RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 Final: Royal Challengers Bengaluru's star batter Virat Kohli opened the innings for the Bengaluru-based franchise during the IPL 2025 summit clash against Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on Tuesday and scored a gritty knock of 43 runs. He had played 35 balls in his innings and had smashed three fours. Virat's knock of 43 runs helped the Bengaluru-based franchise post a mammoth target of 190 runs.
While scoring his knock of 43 runs, Kohli surpassed David Warner's record of scoring the most runs against PBKS in this tournament. In his playing career, Warner had scored 26 runs while playing for Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad against PBKS and had scored 1134 runs overall. At the same time, Kohli had smashed 1159 runs under his kitty after playing in 36 matches for the Bengaluru-based franchise against PBKS.
After scoring 1159 runs against PBKS, Kohli also surpassed his record of smashing the most runs against any team in this tournament. He had scored 1146 runs against CSK and 1159 runs against the Shreyas Iyer-led side.
During this tournament, he smashed one hundred and six fifties against PBKS in the IPL. His highest individual score against the Punjab-based franchise is 113 runs.

Kohli is the highest run-getter in the history of the tournament and during IPL 2025 he scored 657 runs after playing in 15 matches for the Bengaluru-based franchise.
During the IPL 2025 summit clash, he had stitched a partnership of 18 runs for the first wicket with Phil Salt and then stitched a partnership of 38 runs for the second wicket with Mayank Agarwal and a gritty partnership of 40 runs for the third wicket with skipper Rajat Patidar and then built a partnership of 35 runs for the fourth wicket with Liam Livingstone.
Punjab Kings' bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson took three wickets apiece and conceded 40 and 48 runs, whereas Azmatullah Omarzai, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket each.
