RCB vs RR IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs during their IPL 2025 match on Thursday. It was RR's fifth consecutive loss in the ongoing season and seventh overall of the nine matches that they have played till now. After scoring just four points in nine matches, they are lying in the eighth position in the points table and their chances of qualifying for the playoffs look slim.
The Riyan Parag-led side can still reach the playoffs but they do have to win their remaining five matches by a huge margin and also hope that not more than three teams score more than 14 points.
In such a situation scoring 14 points and a better NRR than others will help them reach the playoffs.
But the chances of that are quite low.
There are three teams- Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have scored 12 points and will be playing five more matches. And if they win their next two matches then the Rajasthan-based franchise won't be able to qualify.
And if they lose any of their next five matches or if one of their matches is abandoned, then they would be eliminated from the race to the playoffs.
