Shikhar Dhawan announces retirement
Dhawan last represented India in an ODI series against Bangladesh in December 2022 and was then permanently replaced by Shubman Gill. He played his debut ODI match against Australia in Vizag but he didn't have a great start to his career as he got out on a two-ball duck.
Despite struggling initially, he came back to the national side in 2013 and sealed the spot in all three formats on the back of some brilliant performances. He made his international debut in 2010 and ended his career after scoring 24 centuries, of which 17 were scored in the 50-over format and seven in the longest format after playing in 269 international matches.
