'Sick, Cheap, Egoist': Fans Slam Yuvraj Singh For 'Defaming' Alleged Ex-Girlfriend Deepika Padukone

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently made statements on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, where cricketers Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan were also present and that has led him to get involved in a controversy. In the interaction, Yuvraj talked about a personal experience during the 2008 Test series against Australia, a series that was quite important for his career. He said that he was in a relationship with a well-known actress at that time, who had come to Australia for a film shoot. As per Yuvraj, she came from Adelaide to Canberra to meet him, even though he told her that this series was important and that she shouldn't meet him. This left the fans wondering as to who the actress was.

Although Yuvraj didn't reveal the name of the actress, fans quickly realized that he was talking about Deepika Padukone. Deepika had gone to Australia in 2008 to shoot for the film Bachana Ae Haseeno along with Ranbir Kapoor and there were speculations that she was dating Yuvraj Singh at that time.

Yuvraj's story and the fact that she was one of the top actresses made fans realize that it was her. But social media users were not happy with Yuvraj for revealing such personal details, especially about a past relationship, which occurred years ago.

Fans said that it was inappropriate of him to reveal that it was an actress, who had now moved on with her life and the fact that both of them are now married to Hazel Keech and Ranveer Singh.

Also, Yuvraj revealed this information in front of two legendary cricketers Gilchrist and Vaughan and that made them a little uncomfortable and a lot of them slammed for sharing their personal experiences in such a cricket interview.

Due to this incident, fans slammed Yuvraj for his lack of discretion. A lot of them said that he was being disrespectful for talking about his old relationship publicly especially when the other person hasn't talked about it. Although he intended to share a light moment from his personal experience, fans have ensured that he should have shown more respect while talking about his past relationships due to both of them being public figures.
