South Africa national cricket team vs India national cricket team:

Young all-rounder Ramandeep Singh was handed his T20I debut cap during India's third T20I match against South Africa at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday.

The youngster was handed his T20I cap by star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya. 

The 27-year-old all-rounder gained widespread spotlight during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, playing a pivotal role for title winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

He showcased his finishing skills, scoring 125 runs in 14 matches at an impressive strike rate exceeding 201.

Meanwhile, Ramandeep was also a part of the Indian team which participated in ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 in Oman.

Ramandeep was added in India's T20I squad for the four-match series against the Proteas. The young all-rounder left a significant mark for KKR in IPL 2024 thus he was retained by the franchise ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction. 

The young all-rounderhas consistently delivered standout performances for his domestic team, Punjab. His exceptional contributions played a pivotal role in Punjab's triumphant campaign in last year's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, underscoring his value to the team.

Ramandeep's T20 career spans 57 matches, showcasing his dual expertise. With the bat, he has amassed 544 runs in 37 innings, boasting an impressive strike rate of 170 and a highest score of 64. As a bowler, Ramandeep has delivered impactful performances, claiming 16 wickets in 19 innings at an average of just over 16, coupled with an economical rate of 7.86.
