SRH vs CSK, IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings in match 18 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, April 5.
Chennai Super Kings made three changes to their side as they aim to return to winning ways.
While Mustafizur Rahman was not available for selection, Matheesha Pathirana wasn't included as well due to a niggle as confirmed by Ruturaj Gaikwad at the toss.
Sameer Rizvi also missed out as the defending champions named Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube and Maheesh Theekshana in the starting XI.
"It's going pretty well, the group is responding well. Nothing much changes for me, obviously this is a new challenge, but I'm feeling good. Pathirana has a niggle - three changes for us, Moeen Ali,Theekshana and Mukesh Chowdhary come in. The bowlers are ready to go and so are the youngsters," CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad said at the toss.
SRH also made changes in their team with Mayank Agarwal missing out as Pat Cummins revealed the reason at the toss.
Nitish Reddy and T Natarajan made it to the starting XI for SRH.
"We'll bowl first. Looks like a good wicket and should stay the same for the whole match. We've got a great squad. Mayank Agarwal is unwell, he's replaced by Nitish Reddy. Natarajan is back as well. Last time, there were 500 runs scored, this looks like a good wicket as well," Cummins said at the toss.
