The 36-year-old has been struggling to find footing and stopping batter from scoring handsomely against him throughout his outings. Adding salt to his woes, giving away 97 runs across eight overs in three games with just one wicket.

Notably, Ishant is not the first player to get a hefty fine in this ongoing edition as so far five players have been handed punishments. Apart from Ishant, Lucknow spinner Digvesh Rathi, Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya, Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag, and Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant have been fined so far in this season.
