Venkatesh Iyer has been the hero for KKR in the final with the bat as he gave no chance to the SRH bowlers and smashed the half-century on the big stage. He remained unbeaten 52 off 26 balls on the back of four boundaries and three sixes.

KKR have done it as they clinch a victory in this one-sided final. This is their third IPL title as they completely blew SRH by eight wickets. KKR are now the second most successful team in the IPL history in terms of titles with CSK and MI ahead (five trophies each).

Wicket! KKR are heading closer to the title win but they have lost their second wicket on the way as Gurbaz departs for 39. Shabaz gets the breakthrough for SRH as he trapped Gurbaz in front but it's too late for them.

Andre Rusell's potential clash with T Natrajan in the death overs will be one of the most awaited battles of the ega final in Chennai on Sunday. Rusell has a strike rate of 185 in the tournament and is one of the ost dangerous batters in the history of limited overs cricket.

With the vast Bay of Bengal as a backdrop, they posed on top of a catamaran. This was the only time they seemed out of place since the IPL began at MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 23. 

Irfan hails captain of the season

Irfan Pathan has hailed SRH skipper Pat Cummins as the captain of the IPL 2024 season ahead of the final clash against KKR in Chennai. Pathan feels that Cummins has brought all his experience and heart into the IPL and has helped the youngsters to perform well for SRH. 

"He has actually brought all the experience and he's got a big heart. When you have a big heart as a leader, all the youngsters come around as well. I really think he's the captain of the season so far for me,"  Pathan was qouted as saying on Star Sports.
