SRH vs RR, IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad have posted a total of 201/3 in their 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals in match 50 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, May 2.

Nitish Reddy played a remarkable knock to help his side go past 200 yet another time this season as they aim to return to winning ways.

Nitish was the top run-getter for his side and remained unbeaten on 76 runs in just 42 balls on the back of three fours and eight sixes.

He added 70 runs for the fourth wicket with Heinrich Klaasen who smashed an unbeaten 42 runs in just 19 deliveries with the help of three fours and as many sixes.

After opting to bat first, SRH had a slow start to their innings and lost the in-form opener Abhishek Sharma for just 10 runs and Anmolpreet Singh (5) inside the powerplay.

Travis Head was then joined by Nitish in the sixth over as the duo came up magnificent effort to recover the early damage for the Pat Cummins-led SRH.

Both the batters stitched a crucial partnership of 96 runs for the third wicket, setting the tone for a massive total despite a disappointing start.

While Head reached his half-century, Nitish looked perfectly set in the middle and started playing big shots and smashed the RR bowlers all over the park.

Head smashed six fours and three sixes before he was dismissed for 58 runs in 44 balls in the 15th over by Avesh Khan.

Avesh was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he took two wickets for 39 runs in his four overs whereas Sandeep Sharma ended up with a wicket as well.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who recently made it to India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, had a tough outing with the ball against SRH and was hit for huge runs.

Chahal went on to bowl the most expensive spell of his IPL career, giving away 62 runs in his four overs without any success.
