SRH vs RR, IPL 2025: Ishan Kishan had a memorable first outing for Sunrisers Hyderabad during their match against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 on Sunday.
Kishan was on fire at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and entertained the massive crowd. He smashed his maiden IPL century in just 45 balls and went on to play an unbeaten knock of 106 runs on the back of 11 fours and 6 sixes.
His magnificent effort helped Sunrisers Hyderabad post an incredible total of 286/6 in their 20 overs. This is the second-highest team total in IPL history.
The 26-year-old Kishan, who was signed by SRH for a massive price of INR 11.25 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, came out to bat at no.3 and capitalised on the opportunity with a memorable performance.
"Feels good, it was coming for a while. Wanted to get this last season but happy to get that first hundred. The team has put their faith in me, and I want to do my best for them. The captain has given us all a lot of freedom and confidence, hats off to the management. When Abhishek and Head started, they gave a lot of confidence to us batters in the dugout. The pitch was looking good and we were just trying to get them under pressure. We need to be on point with the ball and keep it simple. Rajasthan bowlers are good but if we bowl in the right areas and to the plans, we should be good," Kishan said at the mid-innings break.
After Abhishek Sharma's dismissal in the fourth over, Kishan joined Travis Head in the middle. The duo kept the attack going and stitched an 85-run stand for the second wicket. Both reached their respective fifties before but Head departed for 67 runs a while later.

Kishan then added another 72 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy. In the meantime, the left-handed batter reached the triple-figure mark. With little but impactful contributions from Nitish (30) and Heinrich Klaasen (34), SRH went on to put up yet another batting masterclass.
