GT vs SRH IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans' star pacer Mohammed Siraj has now become one of the best Indian fast bowlers to have played in the IPL as he had become the 12th Indian fast bowler to have taken 100 wickets in this tournament in their match against SRH in Hyderabad. Siraj, who is currently representing GT, showed brilliantly during the powerplay as he dismissed SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to have achieved this milestone. Interestingly, he did so in his hometown of Hyderabad.
He took Head's wicket on the last ball of his first over as the SRH opener tried to go big but he mistimed the ball and it went towards the mid-wicket region as Sai Sudharsan took a low catch. He then dismissed Abhishek Sharma during the third over, who tried to mistime the shot towards long-on but Rahul Tewatia, who was standing near the boundary took the catch.
Siraj then took his third wicket during the death over as he had dismissed Aniket Varma. Simarjeet Singh was his fourth wicket as he rattled his stumps with a peachy delivery.
RCB bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is the highest wicket-getter as far as the Indian fast bowlers are concerned as he has taken 183 wickets under his kitty.
Mohammed Siraj will aim to continue his sublime form and try to make a comeback to the national side. He hasn't played for India since the five-match Test series against Australia, where the Men in Blue had a forgetful Down Under. He was snubbed from India's Champions Trophy squad, where the Rohit Sharma-led side won the trophy.
By spending some time away from the sport, Siraj has regained his form and has been able to take wickets consistently in the ongoing season.
