Suryakumar Yadav's 34th Birthday: India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is celebrating his birthday as he turned 34 on Saturday, September 14.
Fans were quick to react and wish Suryakumar on his special day and recalled his match-winning catch in the T20 World Cup 2024 final.
Suryakumar was last seen in action on the Sri Lanka tour as he led India to a 2-0 T20I series win. He was India's top run-getter with 92 runs in three matches.
Having made his India debut in 2021 on the back of some impressive IPL performances, Suryakumar has been a regular for the Men in Blue in the shortest format.
He has cemented his place in India's middle order and is one of the best T20I batters in the world at the moment.
The right-handed batter is second behind Australia's Travis Head in the ICC rankings of T20I batters.
Apart from his various match-winning knocks, another thing that became a memorable one as his contribution to Indian cricket was his catch against South Africa in the T20 WC final.

After opting to bat first in the all-important summit clash, India posted a challenging total of 176/7 in their 20 overs on the back of Virat Kohli's fighting 76-run knock.
Suryakumar had a disappointing outing with the bat as he was dismissed for just 3 runs.
Chasing the target, the Proteas were on top with Heinrich Klaasen smashing Indian bowlers on top before Jasprit Bumrah turned things around.
With back-to-back wickets, India managed to take things in the final over where South Africa needed 16 runs with David Miller on strike.
A catch for the ages from Suryakumar Yadav
Hardik Pandya bowled a low full toss on the very first delivery of the final over and Miller was quick to pick it up and hit it down the ground.
It looked to be going beyond the rope before Suryakumar came up with something special to provide a moment to remember for a long long time.
While reaching for the ball was the first priority, Suryakumar somehow managed it before catching it and throwing it inside the rope in one motion.
He was calm enough to maintain his balance and caught it for a second time to get the rid of Miller who could have won it for South Africa in the remaining deliveries.
