T20 World Cup 2024, India vs England Highlights: India Beat England By 68 Runs In Semi-final Clash

India have won the semi-final match against England by 68 runs and have qualified for the final. They will face South Africa in the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.

Covers are coming off and the sun is out once again in Providence stadium. This is definitely not an ideal condition for Team India batters. But conditions like these test a champion side. 

England won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Play to start at 9:15 PM IST. Toss is scheduled to take place at 8:50 PM IST. No overs lost. 

The umpires have kept an inspection time for 8:45 PM IST. The rain has completely stopped at the moment and we can have a toss very soon.

The official news is out in the middle - Toss has been delayed due to rain. 

Rain seemed to have stopped completely at the moment. Handful of groundstaff are present on the ground. Toss is likely to take place on time.

With no rain for now, overcast conditions are posing some kind of threat. The ground staff are doing their best to get the match start on time. 

It is not raining heavily at the moment at the Providence stadium. Even the sun is peeping out, however, watch puddles have started to form on the outfield.

As per the latest update by Dainik Jagran, it has started to rain yet again in Guyana. 

The weather conditions around the Providence stadium in Guyana were getting better with little to no rain. However, the dark clouds have made their entry which is not a good sign for cricket fans. 

The weather forecast as per weather.com suggests that the rain is likely to continue till 4 p.m. local time. This could mean that the match could get washed out which is not an ideal scenario for England at the moment. 

It is still raining in Guyana for at the moment. We have just three hours to go until it is time for toss. This is not ideal scenes for the English side while India won't be too bothered by the showers as they will go through to the finals if the game is washed out. 

Given the threat of rain much has been said about the seemingly unfair advantages that India has been granted in the World Cup, especially concerning match timings, conditions and ofcourse pre-seeding. 

There is rain predicted in the next couple of hours leading upto the start time of the India vs England T20 World Cup semifinal clash at the Providence stadium in Guyana. 

India's practice session was impacted by rain on Wednesday morning in Guyana. England's practice too was affected.

The match is slated to start at 8 pm IST- which is 10:30 local time. According to Guyana weather latest updates, there are certain chances of rain. 

India have played three T20Is at the Providence stadium in Guyana, winning two and losing one. England on the other hand jave not yet won a game at the venue- having lost one and their other fixture ended in no result.

The forecast for the morning of June 27 in Guyana predicts partly sunny skies accompanied by a couple of showers. Precipation os forecasted to be around 4.7mm, all of which will be rain. The probability of precipitation is at 905 indicating a high chance of showers during the morning hours. Cloud cover will be around 61% and visibility is expected to be approximatelt 6km. 

Winds will be coming from the east at a speed of 7km/hr, with gusts potentially reaching upto 20km/hr. Humidity levels are expected to be quite high, standing at 81%, which will contribute to the overall warm and sticky conditions.

The two semifinals will each have additional time added in order to complete the match which will be total 250 minutes. For the first semifinal on June 27, 60 minutes will be available at the end of day's play with the remaining 190 minutes scheduled for 2pm on June 27. The second semifinal IND vs ENG does not have a reserve day and all 250 minutes of extra time have been allotted to the same day itself. 

If IND vs ENG second semifinal is abandoned without a result, then India by virtue of winning all their Super 8 matches will reach the final.
