ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Match Schedule June 8: The T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA is going through an exciting phase as the tournament have picked up great momentum with matches going down to the wire.
The marquee tournament is all set to witness more jaw-dropping action on Saturday, June 8 with three matches scheduled to take place at the different venues.
The Netherlands will be up against South Africa in the first match of the day which will be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Both teams will be heading into the contest on the back of victories in their respective opening games and will be looking to carry the momentum forward.
South Africa kicked off their campaign with a six-wicket win over Sri Lanka whereas the Netherlands defeated Nepal.
South Africa currently stand at the top of the Group D standings with the Netherlands following in the second position.
The Proteas are considered as favourites for the Saturday clash for having played at the same venue and are more familiar with the conditions.
The second match of the day will witness a rival action between Australia and England at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados.
While Australia clinched a victory over Oman by 39 runs in their first match, England's match against Scotland was washed out due to rain.
The match between Australia and England is expected to unfold some exciting action as both teams are in stellar form and are the most recent title holders of the elite T20 tournament.
Australia won the T20 WC in 2021 whereas England are the defending champions, having won the trophy in the tournament's previous edition in 2022.
The final match of the day will see the co-hosts take on Uganda in a Group C fixture with game 18 of the tournament scheduled to take place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
West Indies won their first match against Papua New Guinea at the same venue whereas Uganda lost their campaign opener by 125 runs against Afghanistan.
