India vs England, T20 World Cup 2024: India team have reached Guyana ahead of their T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final match at the Providence Stadium on Thursday, June 27.

The match will be a repeat of last edition's semi-final which was won by England before they went on to lift the title.

BCCI posted a special video of the team's arrival at the venue for the all-important match. Skipper Rohit Sharma was seen having a fun time on the flight as can be seen in the video.

India will be heading into the semi-final match on the back of a crucial victory over Australia in their final Super 8 match, defeating the 2021 champions by 24 runs in St Lucia.

The Men in Blue are still unbeaten in the tournament, having first topped Group A with victories over Ireland, Pakistan and the USA.

They then got the better of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and the USA in the Super 8 stage.

England made it to the semi-final after defeating West Indie and the USA in the Super 8 stage whereas they suffered a seven-run defeat against South Africa.

The winner of the England and India semi-final match will face the winner of the other semi-final match between South Africa and Afghanistan in the summit clash.

India also are the former T20 WC champions, having lifted the title in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2007.

'Don't want to do anything different in semi-final': Rohit Sharma

The Indian captain Rohit Sharma after getting past Australia said that his team don't want to do anything different and will focus on playing freely.

"We don't want to do anything different, play the same way and understand what each person has to do. Play freely and not think too much about what's lying ahead. Not think about the opposition. We have been doing it consistently, just need to continue. (On playing England in SF) It will be a nice match, nothing changes for us as a team," Rohit said in the post-match presentation after the Australia match.
