IND vs SA, 2024 T20 World Cup Final: The departure of the Indian cricket team from Barbados has been further delayed due to Hurricane Beryl, which has engulfed the island country since Monday. As per some reports, the Men in Blue were supposed to have left Barbados by 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday and land in Delhi by Wednesday evening. But according to the latest report, this plan has now been changed. The Indian team has left for Barbados on Wednesday.
As per India Today, the Rohit Sharma-led side might not land in Delhi before early Thursday morning.
India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the summit clash of the 2024 T20 World Cup on June 29, Saturday. Since then, they have been stranded in the West Indies due to Hurricane Beryl, which began on Monday. It was supposed to be a category 3 hurricane, which later turned into category 4. The Barbados airport was reopened after its operations were shut due to the storm.
All the players, coaches, support staff, and families would be departing from Barbados on Wednesday late night and will reach Delhi between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.

The chartered flight was supposed to depart from Barbados on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time and was supposed to land in Delhi at 8:00 p.m. IST on Wednesday.
But their departure was further delayed by almost five hours to 11:30 p.m. But even this couldn’t be made possible due to the late landing of the chartered flight in Barbados.
The Rohit Sharma-led side is currently stuck inside the hotels along with the families and the board members and is looking forward to coming back to India.
The Men in Blue ended their 13-year-long ICC trophy drought after defeating South Africa by seven runs at the Kensington Oval. They scripted history by becoming the first team to have lifted the title by staying unbeaten throughout the tournament.
