India completes the warmup in style as they beat Bangladesh by 72 runs.

Bumrah strikes as he disisses Shakib after Rishabh Pant takes an easy catch. Shakib gets out playing a ramp shot. Mahedi Hassan is the new batter. Hassan gets off to a start by taking a single. 

Mohammed Siraj comes back into the attack. Mahmudullah welcomes him by taking a single. Shakib takes a single as Siraj bowls a toe-crushing yorker. Shakib is still struggling while Siraj bowls a wide ball to him. 

Man of the hour Arshdeep Singh comes back into the attack. Shakib welcomes him by taking a single. He then takes another single. Arshdeep then bowls a dot ball to Shakib. Shakib mistimes the ball but it lands safely. 100 up for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah smashes a four as the ball goes towards deep-extra cover. Arshdeep then bowls a wide delivery to Mahmudullah. 

Shivam Dube comes back in the attack. He bowls a dot ball to Shakib. Mahmudullah then takes a single as the ball goes towards mid-on. 

Hardik Pandya comes back into the attack. Shakib welcomes him by taking a single. Mahmudullah smashes the first six of the innings as the ball goes down the wicket. Runs are flowing in for Bangladesh as Mahmudullah smashes a four. He smashes another four! Fifteen runs have been scored in this over. This is the most expensive over. Shakib ends the over by smashing a four. 

Ravindra Jadeja comes back into the attack. Mahmudullah takes a single as the ball goes towards deep extra-cover. Shakib then smashes a four as the ball goes towards mid-on. Shakib then takes another single. 

Kuldeep Yadav comes back into the attack. He has bowled two consecutive dot balls. Shakib then a single. Yadav then bowls a wide ball. 

Ravindra Jadeja comes into the attack. This is eighth bowling option used by skipper Rohit Sharma. Three runs have been scored in this over. Mahmudullah takes a single again. He mistimes the shot but the ball lands safely. 

India's star spinner Kuldeep Yadav comes into the attack. Mahmudullah welcomes him by taking a two runs. He then takes a single on the next ball. Four runs have been scored in this over. Mahmudullah smashes a four as the ball goes towards deep-extra cover.

Hardik Pandya  comes back into the attack. And he immediately strikes as he dismisses Tanzid Hasan while Arshdeep Singh takes the catch running back outside the 30-yard circle. Mahudullah is the new batter. Hardik bowls a dot ball to him. He then bowls a dot ball to Shakib. 

Axar Patel comes back into the attack and he immediately strikes as he disisses Towhid Hridoy as Ravindra Jadeja takes a simple catch. Shakib-al-Hasan is the new batter. He gets off by taking a single. Tanzid survives a nervy catch out dismissal. 

Mohammed Siraj is back into the attack and Tanzid welcomes him by smashing a four. Tanzid is llooking in good touch as he smashes another four. He then takes a single on the next ball. Ten runs have been scored in this over. Tanzid survives a dismissal as he mistimes the shot and the fielder standing at outfield fails to catch the ball. Siraj ends the over by bowling a dot ball to Tanzid. 

Axar Patel will bowl the last over of Powerplay. Hridoy welcomes him by taking a single. Tanzid then takes a the single as the ball goes towards long-on. Axar then bowls a wide delivery. Hridoy then takes a single on the next ball. Tanzid tries to go big but the ball lands in no-man's land. Axar then makes an appeal for caught behind. 

Hardik Pandya comes back into the attack. He bowls a dot ball to Hridoy. Towhid then takes two runs as the ball goes towards deep extra cover. Hardik once again bowls a dot ball although Hridoy has played the same shot thrice in this innings. Hridoy then smashes a four on the next ball. He survives a run out. 

Mohammed Siraj begins with his first over. He bowls a dot ball to Najmul. Najmul then takes a single as the Indian fielders appear sloppy in the field. Mohammed Siraj strikes as as he dismisses Najmul and Hardik takes a simple catch. Towhid Hridoy is the new batter. He imediately gets off the mark by taking a single. 

Arshdeep Singh comes back into the attack and immediately dismisses the dangerous Litton Das. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto is the new batter. Najmul then takes a single. He then bowls a dot ball to Tanzid. Najmul ends the over by taking a single. 

Jasprit Bumrah comes into the attack after Arshdeep removes Saumya Sarkar in the first over. Tanzid welcomed him with a four. Bumrah then bowls a dot ball to him. Litton then takes a single as the ball towards long on. Five runs are scored in this over. 

India have scored 182/5 in their 20 overs after opting to bat first. Rishabh Pant played a fiery knock of 52 runs in just 32 balls on his return for the Indian team whereas Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 40 off 23.

This has been a remarkable return for Pant in the Indian team. Even though it's a warm up match but Pant has shown his intentions ahead of their opener against Ireland. He smashes a fiery half-century and heads back to the pavilion as he gets retired out. Shivam Dube has come out to bat.

Despite losing wickets in between, India have done well to get the run rate going and already firing Pant has got promising support from Suryakumar. Good end to the first half of India's innings as they inch closer to the 100-run mark. Nine runs came off that over from Rishad Hossain and it's time for Drinks Break.

Wicket! A success for Bangladesh straight after the powerplay as Mahmudullah takes the huge wicket of Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain looked to clear the boundary but found the fielder at the long on who made no mistake with the catch. Rohit departs for 23 as India go two down. Just six runs came off that over.

Pant seems to be in good touch at the moment as he is dealing in boundaries. These two have done well with the recovery after the early wicket. 22 runs came off that over from Shakib as India finished powerplay on a promising note.

Wicket! The surprising experiment failed for India as Sanju Samson fell cheaply. Missed out on it completely and the umpire took no time to raise his finger. He departs for 1 and India are one down already.

There's a surprise from the Indian side as Sanju Samson came out to open for India alongside skipper Rohit Sharma. Good first over from Mahedi as just five runs came off it.

We will bat. Not for any particular reason, conditions here look a bit challenging. Virat has just arrived yesterday, he's going to miss out, the rest are all available and we'll see how to use them. We arrived quite early, so the body clock has adjusted, we just have to see how well we can adjust to these conditions.

India won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh. 

Virat Kohli, who is expected to join the team just before the practice game, might be rested for the warm-up match. This will allow other players to get valuable game time and show their readiness. Kohli’s presence in the tournament is vital, and ensuring he is well-rested and ready for the opener will be a priority.

Finding the right combination will be critical. With all 15 players being match-fit and game-ready, skipper Rohit Sharma and outgoing head coach Rahul Dravid have the task of balancing experience, form, and the ability to perform under pressure. Key decisions will revolve around the batting order, the composition of the bowling attack, and whether to prioritize power-hitting or stability in the middle order.

Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj will be under the spotlight to ensure they are in peak condition ahead of the tournament opener. Both have had impressive IPL seasons, but it’s crucial they bring that form into the World Cup. The warm-up match will be an important platform for them to find their rhythm and adapt to the conditions.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in excellent form and will be looking to stake his claim in the team with a strong performance in the warm-up game. His inclusion, however, poses a selection dilemma. With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma expected to open, Jaiswal's spot might come at the expense of a power-hitter like Shivam Dube, who could be valuable in the latter stages of the tournament. It seems likely that Jaiswal might have to sit out to maintain the balance of the side.
