New Zealand vs UAE T20 World Cup: New Zealand's explosive openers, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen, demolished the UAE's bowling attack, cruising to a 10-wicket victory in the T20 World Cup with 28 balls to spare at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.
The pair's unbeaten 175-run partnership, the highest in T20 World Cup history, left the UAE bowlers shell-shocked as they chased down the 174-run target in just 15.2 overs.
Seifert finished with an unbeaten 89, while Allen scored 84.
UAE's Innings
UAE's captain Muhammad Waseem and Alishan Sharafu led the charge with exceptional fifties, pushing the team to their highest-ever T20 World Cup total of 173 for six. Waseem's unbeaten 66 off 45 balls, complemented by Sharafu's 55 off 47, anchored the innings and set up a competitive target for New Zealand.

UAE's boundaries dried up after Sharafu's dismissal in the 15th over, but a costly 18th over by Glenn Phillips, leaking 27 runs, helped UAE recover. The team managed 51 runs in the last five overs, losing four wickets.
New Zealand's Innings
Chasing a big target, Allen (84* off 50) and Seifert (89* off 42) unleashed a batting onslaught, destroying UAE's bowling attack on a red-soil pitch and securing a convincing 10-wicket win for New Zealand.
Their record-breaking 175-run partnership, the highest for any wicket in T20 World Cup history, propelled the Black Caps to a comfortable victory, chasing down the target in just 15.2 overs.
UAE's pacers were outsmarted by New Zealand's fierce openers, struggling to control their onslaught. The bowlers paid the price for depending on length balls, allowing Allen to notch his 100th six in T20Is during his explosive innings.
