Richest Indian Cricketers: Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja has been named the heir to the Jamnagar Royal Throne in Gujarat, a prestigious title that connects him to a rich legacy of both royalty and cricket. The announcement, made by Maharaja Jamsaheb of Nawanagar during the Dussehra celebrations, places Jadeja in line to inherit a vast fortune estimated at over ₹1,450 crore. This substantial inheritance would make Jadeja the wealthiest sports personality in India, surpassing even cricket icon Virat Kohli, whose net worth is estimated at around ₹1,000 crore.

Jadeja himself enjoyed a successful international career, playing 196 ODIs and 15 Test matches for India between 1992 and 2000. His father, Daulatsinghji Jadeja, further strengthened the family's ties to public service, having served as a three-time Member of Parliament from Jamnagar.

Jadeja's new role as heir to the royal throne not only elevates his status but also highlights the deep historical and cultural connection between his family and Indian cricket.

In a public statement, Maharaja Jamsaheb expressed his joy at the decision, stating, “The festival of Dussehra marks the day the Pandavas emerged victorious from exile. Today, on Dussehra, I am equally happy, as I have found a resolution to one of my dilemmas thanks to Ajay Jadeja, who has accepted to be my heir.” He further emphasized the significance of this decision for the people of Jamnagar, saying, “Ajay Jadeja taking up the responsibility of serving the people of Jamnagar is truly a boon.”
