SRH IPL 2025: Travis Head, Australia's star batter, has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad camp ahead of the IPL 2025 which kicks off on March 22 with the first set to be played between the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens.

SRH had a memorable campaign last season and finished as runners-up, suffering a defeat against KKR in the final. They will be kicking off their campaign in the IPL 2025 with a match against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, March 23.

They will play their first away match against Delhi Capitals at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 30.

SRH posted a series of special posts including an exciting video as Head arrived in India and is all set to join their pre-tournament camp. Their head coach Daniel Vettori also joined the team on Monday, March 17.

Travis Head had a disappointing outing in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He scored 104 runs in three innings including a half-century as Australia's campaign ended with a semi-final defeat against India in Dubai.

The 31-year-old played a key role in helping SRH reach the final last season. He was their top run-getter in the IPL 2024 with 567 runs to his name in 15 matches at an average of 40.50 and a strike rate of 191.55. He smashed four fifties and a century and stitched a few sensational opening stands with young Abhishek Sharma.

SRH will be captained by Pat Cummins and they will have thir key players like Head, Abhishek, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy in action once again whereas the signings of notable names like Mohammed Shami, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahae and others bolstered their squad.
