PAK vs USA, 2024 T20 World Cup: India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav congratulated his ex-Mumbai teammate, Saurav Netravalkar on his official social media account. Suryakumar heaped praises on Netravalkar for his superb bowling in the Super over in their Group A clash against Pakistan in Texas on Thursday. Netravalkar maintained his composure and defended 19 runs in the Super over against Pakistan and helped his team script history. The USA staged one of the biggest upsets in the ongoing tournament.

The star India batter shared Netravalkar’s picture on his official Instagram account and congratulated his dear friend. He also extended his warm wishes to Netravalkar’s family back in India. Both played for Mumbai in domestic cricket almost a decade back. But Netravalkar, who also played for India during the 2010 U19 World Cup along with players like KL Rahul, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mayank Agarwal moved to the US after a lack of opportunities in the Indian cricket system.

On one hand, Suryakumar Yadav continued playing for Mumbai in domestic cricket and then also became Mumbai Indian's star batter in IPL, which helped him to receive his maiden India cap, Netravalkar pursues his higher studies by completing a master's degree in computer science at Cornell University. He then also got a high-paying job in one of the world’s best technology companies, called Oracle. But at the same time, he continued playing cricket and made his debut for the USA in 2019 and quickly made a name for himself. He has been balancing both his job at Oracle and playing cricket for the USA professionally.
