Xara Jetly, a talented spinner for Wellington Blaze in New Zealand's domestic cricket, recently gained attention on social media after expressing her admiration for Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. In a podcast, Jetly revealed her dream of clicking a picture with Kohli and sharing it on her Instagram. She also shared her aspiration to bowl to him, acknowledging the challenge but clearly stating her admiration.

"Yeah, this is basic for me. I'd bowl to...the women's game is tougher, but in the men's game, I wanna bowl to Virat Kohli. If I could take a photo with Virat Kohli and put it on Instagram, that would be the GOAL," Xara said on the 'Fine Legs — The Cricket Podcast'.

"Virat Kohli and I will get an instagram worthy picture together - mark my words!" Xara wrote on her social media handle as well. Watch the video here:

Jetly's performance in domestic cricket has been impressive. She played a key role in Wellington Blaze's victory in the last edition of the Women's Super Smash, where they narrowly defeated Canterbury by one run via the Duckworth-Lewis method in the final at Eden Park, Auckland. In that tournament, Jetly took nine wickets in 10 games with an economy rate of 5.59, including a standout three-wicket haul.

She continued her form in the New Zealand Cricket Women's One Day Competition, where she picked up 17 wickets in 11 matches, with her best figures being 3/25, helping her team reach the runners-up position.

Jetly's admiration for Kohli is not unique, as several female cricketers, including England's Danni Wyatt, have previously expressed their fandom for the Indian cricket icon.
