His 65-run fiery knock in just 45 balls helped India register a dominating 8-wicket victory in the third and final match in Visakhapatnam to win the series 2-1.

Talking about the VHT, Delhi have been placed in the Elite Group 'D' and will be opening their season against Andhra. Notably, the BCCI recently made it compulsory for contracted players to play domestic cricket when not engaged in national duty. Virat's confirmation to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy came amid heavy speculations around his ODI future. The veteran batter remains just an ODI player, having retired from the T20I and Test formats.
