Kohli needed only four runs in the second ODI against England on Thursday, July 16, to go past Rahul Dravid’s record. He reached the milestone in style by hitting a boundary off Jofra Archer during the ninth over of India’s innings.

Who holds the overall record?
However, the overall record for the most international runs by an overseas batter in England still belongs to West Indies legend Viv Richards. The former captain scored 3,402 runs in 63 innings from 55 matches during his international career in England between 1975 and 1991.
Coming back to the match, England captain Harry Brook won the toss and opted to bowl against India in the second ODI. Team India featured one change as Ishan Kishan was included in the playing XI in place of KL Rahul, who missed out due to illness. On the other hand, England also featured two changes as Josh Tongue and Liam Dawson came out for Saqib Mahmood and Gus Atkinson.
