India vs Australia 2nd Test: Virat Kohli looked pro active towards the end of the first day during the second Test between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.
Kohli looked at his animated best and even seemed to have donned the hat of a captain for a split moment, steering regular captain Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj to go with his suggestion in an attempt to break the first-wicket partnership between Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne.
The instance took place in the 17th over of Australia's first innings when Kohli was seen having a chat with Rohit, following which he instructed Siraj to change the field, to which the bowler and the captain obliged.
Looks like Virat Kohli took the charge of captaincy while Rohit Sharma is seen not interested in his job. 👀#INDvsAUS #AUSvIND#SpotifyWrapped2024

Australia ended the day on 86/1 with McSweeney (38*) and Labuschagne (20*) at the crease and are still 94 runs behind.
India managed to get only one success as Jasprit Bumrah removed Usman Khawaja for 13 runs.
After opting to bat first, India were bowled out for just 180 runs in their first innings with Nitish Kumar Reddy being their top run-getter.
Nitish played a fighting knock of 42 runs in 54 balls on the back of three fours and as many sixes.
Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he produced the memorable figures of 6 for 48 with Scott Boland and Pat Cummins picking up a couple of wickets each.
Talking about India's batting, both senior batters Virat (7) and Rohit (3) departed cheaply whereas KL Rahul (37) and Shubman Gill (31) came up with promising contributions.
Having already been 1-0 up in the five-match series in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India came up with three changes in their lineup for the pink ball Test in Adelaide.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin replaced Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar.
