Where is Virat Kohli? Indian talismanic batter Virat Kohli's presence in international cricket has only been restricted to the ODI format after he announced his retirement from Tests earlier this year in May. However, a fresh report suggests that his future in ODIs is uncertain as well after Chairman of the Men's Senior Selection Committee Ajit Agarkar attempted to enquire about Kohli's plans going forward.
Interestingly, Kohli has already bid adieu to the T20I format on a high note as India won the 2024 T20 World Cup.
As per a report by Revsportz, the team management is left 'pessimistic' on the lack of communication from the Cricketer's end.
The report also suggested that Kohli's presence in India’s upcoming white-ball tour of Australia is not a certainty as they are bound to play three ODIs and five T20Is between October 19 and November 8.

As per another report, the team management wanted both Kohli and ODI captain Rohit Sharma to feature for India A in a one-day series with Australia A, which will take place in Kanpur. On the contrary, none of the star Cricketers were named in the squad. Kohli, Rohit played their last match in March, which was the Champions Trophy final, which India won.
Shreyas Iyer Takes Indefinite Break From Red-Ball Cricket: Report
Star middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer has informed Ajit Agarkar that he cannot take the rigours of red-ball cricket at this point owing to a stiff back, and also asked not to consider him for the upcoming home Test series against the West Indies.
Shreyas had pulled out of the India A's ongoing second four-day unofficial Test against Australia A at Lucknow, and now it has emerged that he has taken a temporary break from the red-ball format.

He was named captain of the India A but Dhruv Jurel stepped in in the absence of the Mumbaikar.
“While he informed the India A' team management that he has gone to Mumbai for personal reasons, he has informed the chairman of the selection committee that his back can't take rigours of first-class and Test cricket for the time being,” a BCCI source was quoted as saying by PTI.
