India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli is a prominent face in the cricket world and is widely admired by young fellows across the globe. The cricketer, who remains a pivotal figure in promoting the sport among the next generation, shared his valuable advice for the budding players before the home IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kohli, who is the highest run-getter in the ongoing season of the cash-rich tournament, shared his cricketing journey and also dropped million-dollar advice for youngsters, who dream of becoming a professional cricketer.
"My only tip would be you first figure out how much you like to play cricket. And if it is something that makes you wake up in the morning and go back to playing cricket, then you should definitely give it everything you have and enjoy it mostly, but you have to be absolutely committed to be able to make it a profession, if you're really interested," Kohli told Star Sports.

With 319 runs in six matches, Kohli is leading the run-chart in the IPL 2024 season and is firmly holding the Orange Cap. The prolific batter has amassed a century and two fifties in his stellar season so far.
However, things are not so bright for his franchise RCB, who sit at the bottom of the points table with a solitary win in six games.

Kohli has failed to get consistent support from other RCb batters including captain Faf du Plessis, Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell. The Australian duo have crashed miserably in the tournament with a streak of poor performances with the bat.
In the absence of a star bowler in the squad apart from Mohammed Siraj, the bowling unit has been a major setback for the franchise in the season.
RCB will hope for a better result in tonight's fixture against SRH at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
