India batting maestro Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma were spotted cheering the Harmanpreet-led side during their T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Australia at iconic Lord's Stadium in London.

The ongoing match between India and Australia holds huge importance for the Women in Blue, as only a victory over Australia would keep their hopes of reaching the semifinals alive. A defeat would mean the end of their campaign.

During Australia's innings, Kohli was seen in the stands alongside his wife, Anushka Sharma, and former India captain and head coach Ravi Shastri. Photos and videos of the trio enjoying the match quickly spread across social media.



Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan was also present at the iconic venue, cheering for the Women in Blue from the stands.

Coming back to the match, India put together a competitive total of 170 for 4 after opting to bat against Australia. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma gave the team a good start with a 66-run opening partnership. Mandhana played a steady knock of 38 from 37 balls, while Verma scored an attacking 34 off 26 deliveries.

After the opening stand was broken, Jemimah Rodrigues and captain Harmanpreet Kaur kept the momentum going. Rodrigues made 34 before retiring hurt, while Harmanpreet led from the front with a brilliant unbeaten 56 off just 27 balls. The duo stitched a 64-run stand for the third wicket, helping India post a challenging total.

The match became even more important after South Africa defeated Bangladesh by four wickets earlier in the day. That result left India needing a win over Australia to book a place in the semifinals.

Before the match, Australia topped the Group A table with eight points from four matches. South Africa were second with eight points from five games, while India were third with six points from four matches, making this clash a virtual quarterfinal for the Women in Blue.
