In a staggering revelation, a Cricketer from the West Indies has been accused of multiple counts of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and rape, in a report from West Indies-based media outlets. Caribbean-based SportsMax TV, in a video report, stated that the cricketer in question is from Guyana and is currently part of the national team setup. The report further alleged that at least 11 women have come forward with accusations against the individual.

However, as of Friday, June 27, 2025, no formal charges have been filed against the cricketer. Cricket West Indies (CWI) has also declined to comment on the matter when approached by the media.

A Guyana-based newspaper Kaieteur Sports published the report stating:

"I have heard accounts from no fewer than eleven women, one of them a teenager, who allege that they have been sexually assaulted, raped, or subjected to unwanted sexual advances by him."

In a subsequent report, a cover has also been alleged to whitewash player's actions.

SportsMax TV also made an attempt to reach out to Cricket West Indies and also if there is any investigation taking place, to which the response was:

"Cricket West Indies is unaware of the circumstances and, therefore, is not in a position to comment at this time," CWI President Kishore Shallow was quoted as saying, in the report.

Further details have emerged regarding the unnamed West Indies cricketer accused of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and rape, with lawyer Nigel Hughes, who was approached by one of the alleged victims two years ago. The player was part of the West Indies squad that famously beat Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane in January 2024.

The lawyer also highlighted that the cricketer received a "hero's welcome" upon his return to Guyana following the West Indies' unexpected victory over Australia, approximately a year ago.
