WI vs BAN, 3rd ODI: West Indies put up a dominant performance in their 3-0 ODI series win against Bangladesh after winning the third and the last ODI by four wickets on Thursday in St.Kitts. Amir Jangoo, who was playing in his debut ODI match scored a match-winning knock of 104 runs and Keacy Carty's gritty knock of 95 runs played a huge role in helping the host chase the mammoth target of 322 runs this was just the fourth time in their history that they have chased a target of more than 300 runs in this format.

While bowling first, Alzarri Joseph spearheaded West Indies' bowling lineup along with Roston Chase and helped the team skittle the visitors out for 321 runs. Joseph took two wickets whereas Chase's spin mastery helped him take wickets at regular intervals as Bangladesh posted a respectable target on the back of a gritty knock from the skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz's 77 and Mahmadullah and Soumya Sarkar too scored 84 and 73 runs respectively. But this target proved to be too low for a formidable West Indies batting lineup.

The hosts had a shaky start as both the openers Brandon King and Alick Athanaze were dismissed early. They suffered a top-order batting collapse and were reeling at 86/4 and that's when Keacy Carty helped the team bounce back by stitching a match-winning partnership of 132 runs. Jangoo, who was playing in his debut match showed grit and resilience and took the team across the line by smashing a few fours and keeping the scorecard ticking.

At the same time, Carty also played a huge role, although he did fall short of just five runs from his well-deserved hundred. His wicket made the match looked balance but Jangoo's calm and composure helped the hosts stay alive in the game. Captain Shai Hope and Romario Shepherd also made significant contributions and thus helped the hosts win the series in the last over.

Jangoo scripted history after scoring his match-winning hundred as he became the first West Indies batter in 46 years to have scored a 100 in his debut ODI match and thus emphasized the importance of this milestone. With this win, they not only won the series but also showed their batting depth under Shai Hope's captaincy.
