As the inaugural edition of the WPL (Women's Premier League) came to an end on Sunday, the winners Mumbai Indians' dominated the awards list by a huge margin.
Mumbai Indians all-rounder Matthews bagged the Purple Cap, while Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning took the Orange Cap in the inaugural Women's Premier League on Sunday.
After an outstanding campaign, Lanning was declared the WPL 2023 Orange Cap winner. The DC captain top-scored with 35 runs in the final inning and finished the season with 345 total. After nine matches, she finished the season with an average of 49.29 and a strike rate of 139.11.
Here's a full list of awards with prize money:
1. Powerful Striker of the Match went to DC's Radha Yadav with a prize money of 1 Lakh.
2. Player of the Match went to MI's Natalie Sciver-Brunt with a prize money of 2.5 Lakh.
3. Powerful Striker of the Season went to RCB's Sophie Devine with a prize money of 5 Lakh.
4. Fair Play Award was awarded to both Mumbai & Delhi.
5. Catch of the Season went to MI captain Harmanpreet Kaur with a prize money of 5 Lakh.
6. Most Valuable Player went to MI's Hayley Matthews with a prize money of 5 Lakh.
7. WPL Limited-edition watch to match officials & support staff.
8. Runners-up Delhi Capitals were awarded Rs 3 Crore.
9. Winners Mumbai Indians were awarded Rs 5 Crore.
