As we inch closer to the end of the second season of the Women’s Premier League, the race for the playoffs spot has got intensed. With less than three days left for the league stage to end, here is a look at all the scenarios for WPL (Women's Premier League).

Delhi Capitals Women:

Delhi Capitals are sitting at the top of points table after securing a thrilling win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their final match is up against Gujarat Giants which will take place on March 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi

Royal Challengers Bangalore Women:

RCB-W have lost the plot after losing a thriller against Delhi Capitals in their last match. The Smriti Mandhana-led side still has a chance if UP Warriorz loses to Gujarat Giants. If that happens, a win in their last game would be sufficient for them to qualify.

UP Warriorz:

The only straight-forward solution for the Uttar Pradesh team to qualify for the knockout round would be to defeat the Gujarat Giants in their final league game.

Mumbai Indians:

MI were the first team to qualify for the playoffs. However, if they could manage a win against RCB, it could boost their chances to end the group stage as the number one team.

Gujarat Giants:

For the Beth Mooney-led team to even entertain the possibility of playoffs, they must first secure victories in their remaining two league matches. Also, their chances also reply upon favorable outcomes from other matches, particularly those involving Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC), who would need to defeat the Royal Challengers (RCB).

In this scenario, a three-way tie would ensue, with Uttar Pradesh Women (UPW), RCB, and the Giants all finishing on six points each.

However, the Giants face a significant obstacle in their quest for playoff contention: their NRR stands at -1.111, presenting a daunting challenge.
