WPL 2024 Auction Highlights: Kashvee Gautam, Annabel Sutherland Steal Highlight With Rs 2 Crore Tag Each; Check All Squads

Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have finalised their 18-player squads. Another, potentially final, round of auctions is set to take place. In this phase, the remaining three teams—UP, Gujarat, and Bengaluru—will submit the names of players they intend to bid for.

Shuba Satheesh secures a spot with RCB for 10 Lakhs, while Tanisha Singh doesn't find any takers.

Devika K and Priyanka Koushal fail to attract any bidders.

Fatima Jaffer, the spinner goes to Mumbai Indians is acquired at a base price of 10 lakh INR.

MI pick another - Keerthana Balakrishnan at a base price of 10 lakh INR.

No bids for Nicola Hancock, Millicent Illingworth, Iris Zwillinga, Anushka Sharma, and Bhavana Goplani.

Mannat Kashyap is headed to the Gujarat Giants as they secure her services at a base price of 10 lakh INR.

Delhi Capitals acquire Ashwani Kumari for 10 lakh INR, securing her at the base price.

No takers for Nicola Carey and Alice-Davidson Richards at 30L INR, but Lauren Cheatle got a winning bid by Giants at the same price.

Dhara Gujjar did not find any buyers, while Kathryn Bryce is now part of the Giants for 10 lakhs.

Gujarat Giants buys Priya Mishra for 20 lakh while uncapped spinners Sonam Yadav, Sunanda Yetrekar, Parunika Sisodia and Amisha Bahukhandi go unsold.

"Absolutely delighted to have seen that I've been picked up in the auction to represent Bangalore. Looking forward to donning the red and the gold. Always been a huge fan of the IPL and obviously the WPL last year. Love what it's doing for the women's game and can't wait to be involved," she said.

Mumbai Indians pick S Sanjana for 15 Lakhs while UP Warriorz gets Poonam Khenmar for Rs 10 lakh.

Uncapped India all-rounder Kashvee Gautam goes to Gujarat Giants for Rs 2 crore, the join-highest in the season so far.

Uncapped India wicketkeeper Aparna Mondal has been picked by Delhi Capitals for Rs 10 lakh.

Gujarat Giants purchases uncapped Trisha Poojita for Rs 10 lakh to add a third player to the squad in the auction. 

Uncapped India batter Vrinda Dinesh has been bought by UP Warriors for a price of Rs 1.30 crore. Their second buy of the day after Danni Wyatt.

Alana King and Gouher Sultana go unsold.

RCB seals the deal, acquiring Ekta Bisht for 60 lakhs after a bidding war against GG.

No bid for leg spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington, she goes unsold. Preeti Bose goes unsold as well.

Shamilia Connell finds no buyer, while Kate Cross goes to RCB for 30 lakhs.

Former South African fast bowler Shabnim Ismail, who announced her retirement from international cricket earlier this year, secured a bid of 1.2 Crores from Mumbai Indians in the auction.

Lea Tahuhu, Kim Garth and Simran Bahadur did not find any buyer in the capped fast bowlers set.

Wicketkeepers Tammy Beaumont, Bess Heath, Nuzhat Parween and Sushma Verma did not find any buyer in the third set of the auction. The event will resume after a short break.

Nadine De Klerk, Chamari Athapaththu, Deandra Dottin, S. Meghana and Devika Vaidya remain unsold in the second set of all-rounders.

Gujarat Giants made their second purchase of the day with India all-rounder Meghna Singh for the base price of Rs 30 lakh.

Australia all-rounder Annabel Sutherland has been picked by Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore.  

Royal Challengers Bangalore grabs Australia spinner for Georgia Wareham for Rs 40 lakh, their buy of the day.

Maia Boucher, Bharti Fulmali, Veda Krishnamurthy, Mona Meshram, Priya Punia, Punam Raut and Naomi Stalenberg go unsold in the first set.

After missing out on Litchfield, UP Warriorz picked England's Danielle Wyatt at the base price of Rs 30 lakh.    

Australian batter Phoebe Litchfield is the first player to go under the hammer at the base price of Rs 30 lakh. UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants engaged in a fierce bidding battle for the Australian. In the end, UP backed off and Litchfield sold to Gujarat Giants for Rs 1 crore.

During the inaugural auction earlier in 2023, Smriti Mandhana secured the highest bid, joining RCB for a significant INR 3.4 crore. Following closely was Deepti Sharma (UP Warriorz), who became the second-most expensive Indian player with a bid of INR 2.6 crore.

Former West Indies allrounder Deandra Dottin and Australia's Kim Garth lead the pack with a base price of INR 50 Lakh.

Following closely are four foreign players with a base price of INR 40 Lakh: Australian all rounders Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham, South African pace sensation Shabnim Ismal, and English wicketkeeper Amy Jones.,

The upcoming auction is set to showcase 165 players, with 104 Indians competing for just 30 slots distributed among five franchises. There are only nine slots exclusively reserved for foreign players in this exciting lineup.

WPL revealed that Mallika Sagar will be the auctioneer for the mega event in Mumbai. She is an art collector based in Mumbai and conducted the inaugural auction of the WPL earlier this year. She was also part of the auction in the Pro Kabaddi League back in 2021.

The committee members for the Women's Premier League are as follows:

All five teams have a salary cap of Rs 13.5 crore each. Gujarat Giants will head into the auction with the biggest purse of Rs 5.95 crore and 13 spots to fill including three overseas talents. Defending champions Mumbai Indians have the least wallet of Rs 2.1 crore to bag six players in the squad.
