WPL Auction 2025: West Indies star all-rounder Deandra Dottin has become the first player to be sold at the 2025 WPL auction on Sunday. Gujarat Gianst bought her a for a whopping amount of Rs 1.7 crore. The all-rounder boasts vast experience in white-ball cricket. She has represented West Indies in 132 Women's T20Is and has scored 2817 runs, which also includes two hundreds and 12 fifties.

Dottin was one of the three players, who had entered her name at the WPL auction in the Rs 50 lakh price category and became the first player to be sold at the auction.

Gujarat Giants had bought her for Rs 60 lakhs before the first WPL edition. But the franchise had to let her go ahead of the first season and that led to a huge controversy.

She also became the first woman to have scored a hundred in T20Is as she scored a century off 38 balls against South Africa during the 2010 T20 World Cup. And this is still the fastest T20I hundred by a woman.

She was part of the 2016 Women's T20 World Cup winning squad. In all, she has represented West Indies in 143 ODIs and 132 T20Is and has scored 6544 runs. She has the ability to bowl right-arm medium pace and has taken 139 wickets in white-ball cricket.
