WTC Final, Australia vs South Africa: Australia and South Africa will face off in the World Test Championship final at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London and it is scheduled to be played from June 11 to June 15.

The Proteas are coming into the final after topping the WTC 2023-25 points table and winning seven matches in a row, whereas defending champions Australia have won five of their last six Test matches. Australia's big win came against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, beating them 3-1 in the five-match Test series.

Star batter Steve Smith turned 36 last week and hasn't played in the top flight since March, just like Sam Konstas, opener Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland, and wicketkeeper Alex Carey. But they're entrusted with the know-how to switch on when it counts. Smith has four hundreds in his last five tests, and passed 10,000 career runs, almost as many as the South Africans. At Lord's, he averages 58.

Talking about their team combinations, they might go for Josh Hazlewood ahead of Boland, whereas the young Sam Konstas will most likely be opening with Usman Khawaja again.

The Baggy Greens would like to get the better of Temba Bavuma & Co. in the one-off match to become WTC winners for the second time in history.

In Test cricket, three results are always possible, and so the question arises: which team will win WTC 2025 if the final ends in a draw?

Considering the weather situation in England, the rain interruptions cannot be ruled out and it may affect the game as well. According to the tournament rules, if the WTC 2025 final ends in a draw or tie or gets abandoned, then Australia and South Africa will have to share the WTC trophy. However, to reduce the possibility of a draw, the match has a reserve day in place.

But reserve day will only come into play if time has been lost to bad weather across all five days, and they are unable to make up for it in those five days, and no result has been reached by the end of the fifth day.
